Test Results
Test results are checked by your doctor when they are received at the clinic. Results may be
delivered electronically, faxed, or posted. Your doctor will note if the results are satisfactory
or whether he or she wishes to speak to you or wants you to make an appointment. Reception
staff will contact you to make an appointment if directed to do so by your doctor. If you do
not hear from your doctor, please do not assume that “no news is good news” and always
confirm your result by calling the clinic. Your doctor may call you directly if the result is
urgent.
The time it takes for radiology and pathology results to come back to your doctor varies depending on the test requested and whether or not samples have to be sent out of Mildura for testing. Your doctor can advise you on how long it might take for the results to be available.
For future reference, please make sure you pick up your film or CD from radiology if you had an X-ray, CT scan, or ultrasound.
